This is a thought provoking TEDTalk from Virginia Postrel on the topic of “Glamour”.  It’s interesting to see how “glamour” has taken a toll on our everyday lives.  From that sleek and sexy new Macbook Pro (i know i want one, too) to getting dressed up for church.

I particularly liked the picture of beneath the computer desk.  Since mine has about 500 cords, a box fan, and a paperbag trashcan… but on top is my sleek mac setup.  All very interesting.
